Spring Allergies - A Physicians Perspective

For decades, I like so many others suffered from seasonal allergic symptoms:  runny nose, almost continual sneezing, itching eyes and skin.  I and many others  tried Benadryl; it brought relief but we became sleepy as a result.  Then came Claritin, Zyrtec and other antihistamines.  They brought relief, but it was temporary and they caused other side effects: increased nasal inflammation and nose bleeds.
